VIDEO OF THE WEEK: Kevin Parker unveiled this week the first music video from Tame Impala’s (Caroline) long-awaited new album. The Slow Rush, set to drop on Feb 14th –which seems like a perfect valentine’s gift from him to us!-, will be the first album released by the band in over 5 years, following their very well acclaimed album Currents.
The music video, displaying warm and pinky tones, was made for the track Lost in Yesterday and takes us on the journey of some quite special weddings. Directed by creative duo Terri Timely (Ian Kibbey et Corey Creasy), the video seems to show us the same scene, playing over and over again. But if the first wedding seems to be boring its guests to death, it then gains slowly but surely in joy and extravaganza, before ending up with a chaotic twist with characters rebelling all over the room.
4 out of the 12 songs included in The Slow Rush by Tame Impala are already out and available on all streaming platforms: Lost in Yesterday, Borderline, It Might Be Time et Posthumous Forgiveness.
